This cocktail is pretty sweet, which is why an aquavit with a strong body and spicy character is definitely a good way to go. To get the Asian touch, a few Thai basil leaves are added. Created by: Joakim Liljekvist

East West Martini

What's it like?

50ml O.P. Anderson Original
20ml Cocchi Americano
2 dashes of Peychaud bitters
1 dash orange bitters
5 thai basil leaves
2 pieces of star anise
Lemon zest

Let the basil, star anise and lemon zest macerate in the Cocchi Americano for about 30 minutes. Drain into a mixing glass and stir all ingredients with ice. Pour into a Martini glass and garnish with a lemon twist.
